CASTLE SQUARE

Castle Square is a temporary and affordable retail and restaurant space, created to ensure Elephant and Castle remains a vital and enlivened shopping destination whilst the new town centre is being developed. Castle Square can be found on Elephant Road opposite the overground station and is home to a mix of independent businesses including Kaieteur Kitchen, AR Accessories, El Guambra and Nicole’s Alterations amongst many more!

ELEPHANT ARCADE

Elephant Arcade is a friendly collection of independent shops, hair salons and cafes  below the residential building Perronet House and opposite the Bakerloo line station. The lively arcade is home to some of the most loved businesses in the area.

ASH AVENUE

Ash Avenue is a brand-new destination to central London as a new pedestrianised road home to diverse businesses, from an arcade bar, a cycle workshop and a dog-friendly pub to a craft market. This exciting retail and food street can be accessed from Castle Square or New Kent Road.

ELEPHANT PARK

Elephant Park is a retail hotspot reimagining the traditional local high street with a mix of shops and restaurants, start-ups, leisure, street food, and independent stores. The area is home to a unique mix of local and independent businesses including Mercato Metropolitano, Four Hundred Rabbits and Fight City Gym. Access is from Walworth Road and Heygate Street or Castle Square.

EAST STREET MARKET

East Street Market is one of London’s oldest, largest and busiest markets and is home to a huge variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, African clothing and materials. The market has been officially running since 1880 and is as popular now than it has been for decades.

Mercato Metropolitano opened its doors as London’s First Sustainable Community Market in 2016. It boasts over 40 independent trading partners providing a variety of food and drink options, an on-site micro-brewery, a hidden music theatre and community events.
