17.05.2021 KELTBRAY CELEBRATE WORLD BOOK DAY 2021

It was World Book Day in March, a fabulous occasion for anyone who loves disappearing into a good story. World Book Day not only celebrates reading, but also gives young people the chance to act out their favourite characters. Keltbray, the specialist civil engineering group working on the new Elephant and Castle Town Centre, have long been a supporter of initiatives for young people, and partnered with The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) to make this World Book Day memorable.

Keltbray gave local schools the chance to win £150 in Waterstones vouchers by telling us what they were doing to foster a love of reading on World Book Day. All of the entries were heart-warming but in the end our winners were:

Phoenix Primary School & Comber Grove Primary School

Thanks to everyone who took part and to CLPE, who work hard to help schools to teach literacy creatively and effectively. We hope the winners spend their vouchers on some amazing books!
