02.02.2024 Introducing the Third Year of the Inspiring Elephant Community Fund
The Elephant and Castle Town Centre team, in collaboration with Get Living, is thrilled to announce the third year of the Inspiring Elephant Community Fund.
This annual £50,000 fund has been set up to support local groups and organisations, empowering them to undertake short-term projects and contribute to long-term community initiatives.
Data from the first year of funding shows that from the 12 completed projects supported between 2022-23, 521 people were able to access support services, 350 people provided support that assisted with independent living and 466 people were able to attend regular social activity.
This year, grant applications are encouraged to concentrate on one or more of the following key areas:
- Health and Wellbeing
- Youth Development and Training
- Cost of Living and Sustainability

Through the Inspiring Elephant Community Fund, the Elephant and Castle Town Centre team will distribute a total of £250,000 of funding over five years to the local community. This is the third year of funding, with awards given to 24 outstanding local groups to support community initiatives across the area deliver training opportunities, arts activities, wellness sessions and more.
