Since its launch in 2019, the Community Hub has been a vibrant centre for community engagement.

The Elephant and Castle Town Centre team is diligently working to re-establish the Community Hub in

a physical space, providing a venue for activities ranging from arts and crafts to yoga and dance, set to

open later this year.

Diana Barranco, Community Director at Elephant and Castle Town Centre said: “The Inspiring

Elephant Community Fund builds on the success of the Community Hub, which has been a cornerstone

of community engagement and support since its inception in 2019.

After two successful years, we were thrilled to award a further 14 outstanding projects with grants. I

want to thank everyone that applied for this year’s fund – we saw some truly exceptional community

initiatives and we look forward to seeing them progress.”

Mayor of Southwark, Cllr Naima Ali said: “It’s great to see the continued commitment to building a

vibrant and inclusive community in Elephant and Castle. The projects supported by the Inspiring

Elephant Community Fund play a crucial role in addressing local needs and enhancing the quality of

life for our residents. Congratulations to all the successful applicants, and I look forward to witnessing
