29.06.2026 The Elephant: Walk & Wheel
On 23 June, we welcomed parliamentarians, industry leaders and partners to The Elephant for the Parliamentary Walk & Wheel, hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Walking and Cycling.
The walk from Portcullis House in Westminster concluded with an exclusive preview of The Elephant, our new town centre in Elephant & Castle. Centred around high-quality public spaces, it will bring together new homes, shops, restaurants and leisure to create a vibrant destination for the community.
The event also sparked discussion on the Government’s recently published Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy and the role of placemaking in supporting healthier, better-connected communities.
