YFC Vista youngster signs with Millwall FC

Seven year old Kyliane Kasson, has signed a two-year contract to play for Millwall FC after three seasons playing for Youth Football Club Vista. He is now the club’s third player signed to Millwall FC Academy since it was launched in 2013. This is in addition to a further seven boys and girls from the club who are currently training at professional academy development centres across London.

Supported by Delancey, YFC Vista is a Football Association affiliated Charter Standard Club, providing football and sports development opportunities for young people aged 5-19 living in the London Boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham.

Millwall were extremely impressed with Kyliane’s performance for Vista during a specially arranged match day against their Academy youth teams.

Shane Glasgow, Director of Youth & Community Football Development at YFC Vista comments:

“We couldn’t be more thrilled for Kyliane on his fantastic achievement which is very much deserved. Kyliane has been with Vista since he began playing at 5 years old and since then he has trained consistently to a remarkably high standard. He has a very mature and focused attitude to football but the most important thing is he enjoys the game, which is evident when he plays with a constant snile on his face!

“Kyliane’s parents have also been an essential part of the process and supported the club to nurture his ability. This news brings an all-round positive impact to all those connected to club, and helps to inspire our young players to fulfil their potential, validating the hard work of our coaches and volunteers who are dedicated to engaging with young people at training sessions.

“We are also very proud of our parental support which is demonstrated when such great news is shared - we wish Kyliane all the best for the future!”

Kyliane’s father Gerrard also commented:“We’re really proud of Kyliane and looking forward to him taking the next step in his development. Its been great to see the results of all the training he’s done with Vista – thanks to all the coaches and volunteers for your support! Kyliane will always remain a VISTA boy”
